“…If our hope in Christ has been for this life only, we are the most unfortunate of all people.”

This is an important message for us in this time when more attention is given to the pursuit of a comfortable life and acquisition of material wealth while thinking less of the aftermaths of the journey here.

We must know that Jesus’s ministry entails both physical and spiritual feeding of the people, and so that, as he is feeding the hungry and curing the sick, he is equally forgiving sins and calling on people to follow him and learn of the way to God from Him who had come from God.

Therefore, our followership of Christ is not for the here and now gain alone, but redemption and a place in his kingdom. And so, our needs and aspirations here on earth should never be a barrier to the higher goal, for our hope in Christ is not for this life alone.

Peace be with you 🙏🏾🙌🏾
