Spiritans Sound Touches Uganda, Organises Talent Workshop for Orphans
Unearthing hidden talents and giving hope to gifted young people has remained the heartbeat of Spiritans Sound Outreach. The mission seeks out talented youths who are in need of encouragement, mentorship, and opportunities to grow. Recently, this vision found a beautiful expression at One Love Home in Uganda.

Managed by Williams Messach, One Love Home shelters 14 vibrant orphans whom he rescued from the streets and committed himself to raising into responsible and fulfilled individuals. Interestingly, Williams himself was once helped by a Good Samaritan, an experience that inspired him to dedicate his life to helping vulnerable children discover a better future. The home came to the attention of the Director of Spiritans Sound Outreach, Fr. Oluwafemi Victor Orilua, CSSp, through one of the outreach associates, Professor Nnadi Ezekiel, Director of Builder’s Academy and a senior lecturer at Mbarara’s University, Uganda. Moved by the inspiring work being done at the home, Spiritans Sound Outreach gladly sponsored a talent development workshop for the children on Friday, 15 May 2026 at Acacia Country Inn, Mbarara, Uganda.

The workshop marks the beginning of a promising collaboration between One Love Home, Builder’s Academy, and Spiritans Sound Outreach, they hope to bring these children into the limelight and help their talents flourish even more.
As part of this growing partnership, Spiritans Sound has already sponsored the recording of two songs for the children in a music studio, prominently featuring two of the children Matric James and Wasswa Joshua, in the songs, “Stani By Bye” and “Overdose”. Another exciting step is the formation of a dance troupe known as Graceful Groovers Uganda, a sister group to the Spiritans Sound dance team in Nigeria.

In addition, two of the children; Matric James and Rose Flavia, have been selected to participate in the Spiritans Sound Global Young Creators Award, an initiative designed to recognise exceptionally gifted young people and connect them to the outreach’s international young creators’ network. Through this platform, the children will receive closer mentorship, encouragement, and continuous support.

With its inspiring slogan, “Inspire to Empower,” Spiritans Sound Outreach continues to champion the cause of talent discovery, development, and encouragement among young people. This remains at the centre of the outreach’s mission and gospel of hope, anchored on the words of Scripture:
“Each has received a gift to be used to serve others.” — 1 Peter 4:10
