HOMILY OF WEDNESDAY OF THE THIRTY- FOURTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR (A)

R1:- Revelation 15:1-4
PS:- 98:1-2-3ab.7.8.9(Revelation 15:3b)
Accl:- Revelation 2:10c
Gosp:- Luke 21:12-19

In today’s gospel, Jesus told us not to do any rehearsal for the days of trouble. We are simply required to hold our peace. Trials and persecutions will surely come, even from those of our household.

What to say is never an issue as long as we keep ourselves in tune with the omnipotence.

The Lord expect us to save our energy and give him the chance to lead. And he said,

“You will be hated by all for my sake. But not a hair of your head will perish. By your endurance you will gain your lives.”

We are safe in God’s hands even at the centre of the greatest danger.

PRAYER

O Lord, help us to rely only on you. May no life threatening episode sift us from your love. Thy kingdom come. Amen.
