YOUR WILL IS MY PEACE

HOMILY OF THURSDAY OF THE FIRST WEEK OF ADVENT.

ST FRANCIS XAVIER( MEMORIA)

Isaiah 6:1-6, Matthew 7:21.24-27

The Lord said in today’s gospel,

“Not everyone who says Lord, Lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”

More so, Isaiah, in the first reading said,
” You keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”

Peace is a product of good conscience. When we give God the chance to lead us, we fear no evil and we cannot be shaken by any circumstance.

To live by the word of God is a sure security for a higher life. Its does not suffice to answer the name Christian or occupying important position in the company of believers.

May we utilise the grace of God in our lives, that we may always be in his presence. Amen.
