HOMILY OF 9TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
The Most Holy Trinity – Solemnity
Exodus 34:4-6,8-9, 2 Corinthians 13:11-13, John 3:16-18
THEME: THE RELATIONAL GOD.
The mystery of the three persons in one God, the Blessed Trinity, is the expression of a relational God, who always wants to be close to his people. While he remains transcendent, he became man to live among us by showing us the way back to himself through his Son our Lord Jesus Christ, he concealed himself in the form of bread, and he keeps living among us in this Sacrament of his love through the instrumentality of the Holy Spirit.
It takes faith to believe that he is here with us.
Since he is a relational God, and he has deposited his spirit in us, let us improve our relationship with others and maintain healthy ties with one another.
We pray that the good Lord sheds his light upon us that we may always experience the beauty of his presence. Amen.
