The readings of today are so much centered on faith and being faithful. “In the face of worst of it all, will you continue to be faithful?”

Many of us do have faith but are hardly faithful. Being faithful is the action word for faith.

Despite the offshoot of sin during the reign of Antiochus Epiphanes, many of God’s faithful remained faithful no matter what. We should know that there is no understanding between good and evil, is either you are with God or not with him. You can not serve both God and Mammon, the scripture says. So the faithful ones and those who understand God that they serve know that there are no negotiations when it comes to faith; believing and worshipping God and God alone. Despite the persecutions and threats even to death, they remained faithful to God. That is one of the most important attributes of God’s followers.

The Gospel today shows us that persistent pays off. Not every voice you have to listen to when you have a goal to achieve in life. Not all spectators want your good. Not everyone is happy you want to get the attention or getting the attention. The blind man in the Gospel of today even shouted louder when he was scolded, because he knows what he wants and also believes in what he wants. That’s a show of faith, dedication, and persistence in a positive way. Despite the sphere of life this occurs we all should learn from this. People may try to play down the efforts you make towards something because they feel you are disturbing or what you are pursuing is not achievable. But despite all, is you that knows what you want and how much you want it. The Blind man today is an example that with the right attitude, we will get to where we need to get.

Conclusively, the psalmist proclaimed and chanted to God to give him life, and he would do his will. We all should join this voice to proclaim this provided we can actually keep to it. God is the giver and protector of our lives, but do you do his will?.

I do wish you a happy and prosperous week.

PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL
