Exodus 34:29-35, Matthew 13:44-46

THEME: THE JOY OF KNOWING CHRIST

Aa Christians, our joy is dependent on the level of  intimacy we share with Jesus. We cannot deeply long to work for him, if we had never had any experience of personal encounter with him. Total surrender or practical union is all about rating serving God above other things, which is consequent of having found our unique niche in him.

We must have a personal story to tell about our life in Christ. Interestingly, no one can encounter Christ yet remain the same.

The Lord said in the gospel, “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field which someone has found; he hides it again, goes off happy, sells everything he owns and buys the field.‘ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls; when he finds one of great value he goes and sells everything he owns and buys it.”

May the Lord bestow upon us the grace to find every reason to continually serve Him. Amen.
