The greatest attack on a Christian is the attack on his prayer life. To stay connected to God, we must maintain a prayerful presence. To keep standing, we must pray always.m

It is very easy to fall by the wayside if we do not communicate with God on a regular basis. The blurring effect of the enticement in the world and the lure of evil can be too loud to kill one’s Godly instinct. The bites of human challenges can be too discouraging.

Hence, to keep us in tune, the Lord admonishes us in today’s gospel, ” _watch at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of man.”_ Luke 21:36.

May no worldly allurement or human dissipation crush our passion for God. When the world’s tribulation last, may we always be found holding the banner of salvation, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
