Christianity is not by name. It is better not to answer God’s call than to answer but refusing his demands.

There is no point coming to a marriage feast without wedding a garment. The man in today’s gospel, who made it into the wedding hall without the required attire was turned down. He did not utilize the favour that he received on a platter of gold.

Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well. We must not misuse any given opportunity that is given to us. There are many people out there, who for one reason or the other have missed the opportunity which we enjoy today. Some of what we enjoy are not our birth rights . They are simply products of divine privilege or grace.

As it lasts, let us utilize and enjoy every opportunity that comes our way. The grace of God must not be wasted.

When the Lord counts us worthy of his call, may we never waste his divine provisions by cheer negligence. Amen
