1st reading : Ezekiel 37:1-14
Psalm : Psalm 106:2-9
Gospel : Matthew 22:34-40

“You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole law and the prophets also.”

The Ten Commandments often feel overwhelming, but Jesus simplifies them into two core principles: love of God and love of neighbor. These two commandments encapsulate the essence of all the others—pure, undistinguished love.

The command to love God and others isn’t just a religious obligation; it’s a path to a better, more harmonious world.

Imagine a world where love is the guiding force. Ethnicity, favoritism, nepotism, and other social vices would fade away, leaving no room for hatred and chaos. Love eradicates jealousy, envy, greed, pride, and unhealthy competition, making way for peaceful coexistence despite our differences.

This same love unites the Holy Trinity, where each Person retains their identity yet remains perfectly one. God calls us to live a life of love so that our wounded world can find healing.

We pray that God fills our hearts with His love and helps us love one another, paving the way for a better, more transformed world. Amen!

Remain Blessed! Peace be with you.
