THEME: HOW TO MAKE PEACE WITH GOD

Being perceived as good is insufficient. Our lives must gear towards heaven. It is not enough to avoid sins; we must make conscious efforts to do good to others, by living a life of sacrifice. Peace with God is peace with man. Our life with God will be judged by our relationship with others. Above all, no matter the good we do, we should know that we are sustain by God’s grace.

To the man who came to Jesus and asked, “Master, what good deed must I do to possess eternal life?’  The Lord said, ‘Why do you ask me about what is good? There is one alone who is good. But if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments. And when he said he has kept all that, he told him a gain, “‘If you wish to be perfect, go and sell what you own and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”

To truly follow Jesus, we must leave the world behind, because our peace with God will be judged not only by the avoidance of sin, but by the measure of the good we do.

May the grace of God make good our defects. Amen.
