Woman, why are you Weeping?
Acts 2:36-41, John 20:11-18
The miracle of the resurrection is one that defies human logic. Mary Magdalena was weeping in the tomb thinking her Lord was still laying there. But she's asked this morning, why are you weeping? Jesus is not in the tomb anymore. The two angels bore witnesses. The linens rolled up in the tomb bore witnesses. The Lord of life is not found among the dead.
Friends, Jesus asks us this same question this morning. Why are you weeping? What is making you feel your situation is hopeless? Who has given you that report? Let the resurrection miracle be your strength. If Jesus can conquer death, your situation is nothing to him. Express faith. Keep it alive.
In the first reading, we see Peter preaching with boldness about the resurrected Christ. Let us go about strengthening people with this message especially in our days of religious multiplicity and opinions. Let us bring this message of redemption to the people.
May the Lord bless His words in our hearts. Amen.
