FREEDOM IN CHAIN

SATURDAY OF THE SEVENTH OF EASTER

Acts 28:16-20.30-31, psalm 11:4.5.7[R.7b], Accl John 16:7.13, Gospel John 21:20-25

As long as we are fulfilling our purpose in life, the unpleasant experiences in our lives become secondary and our joy is found in doing God’s will at every point in our lives.

In life:

There in Rome,

“Paul was allowed to stay by himself with the soldier that guarded him……….And he lived there two whole years at his own expense, and welcomed all w ho came to him, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ quite openly and unhindered.”

Unlike the religious leaders of today who move with hired security outfit, Paul was guarded with free security men with his freedom to preach Gospel intact.

STORY

There were two brothers raised by an irresponsible and wretched father. One was successful in life and the other a failure. When the successful one was asked to reveal the secret of his success, he replied, “My father was a failure, so I have no choice to work hard and break the chain of failure in my own life” when his failed brother was asked why he could not make it in life, he simply said, “judged by the kind of father I have, I have no option than to be a failure. I took it after my father”

QUOTES

“Your attitude determines your altitude”

“Nothing can stop a man who knows his purpose in life”

PRAYER

O Lord! Help me to know your will. Keep me ever aware of your presence in my life, that I may boldly discharge my duties even when the circumstance around me seems to be unpleasant. May my joy always come from doing your will. Help that I will never betray you. May no wall of barrier stop me from moving on with my life. Thine kingdom come.
