Stand Firm in Christ, Seek Him Truly
Psalm: 118: 23-24, 26-27, 29-30, John 6: 22-29, Mt: 4:4
The readings we have been encountering since Resurrection Day, especially from the Acts of the Apostles, show the struggles of the early church Growing from fear and confusion, then to courage of preaching Christ no matter what and where. One thing we should learn as Christians is that the disciples and the members of the early that despite how they try to represent the truth and preach it, they were persecuted and blackmailed. In front of all these, they stood firmly and continued to stand on the truth.
On the same vein the readings of today from the Acts of the Apostles too illustrates how St Peter was even accused of what he never did in other to get him condemned but he stood firm representing the truth. We, too, as Christians, should be ready for anything when we preach and stand on the Gospel, and as the Apostles relied on Christ no matter what, we too should do the same
From the Gospel of today, the big question arises: "Why are you seeking Christ?" Are you seeking him because you believe in him and what he teaches or because of your other personal gains.
As Christians, we should be steady in what brings on to Christ, making sure that we come to him to take what lasts eternally and not what is temporal.
PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL
