Homily of Wednesday in the 32nd Week of the Ordinary Time Year C. (St Josaphat)
Ref:Wis 6:1-11; Lk17:11-19
By: Rev Fr Felix Olátúnjí Yayi, C.S.Sp.

Dear friends in Christ,
Today’s Gospel reflection reminds us that gratitude is a hallmark of humility. The story of the ten lepers highlights our tendency to forget God’s blessings. We often take our daily blessings for granted, expecting more without acknowledging what we’ve already received.

Let’s recognize God’s goodness in our lives – the gift of life, health, and opportunities. We must cultivate gratitude, not just in words, but in our actions. A grateful heart attracts more blessings and inspires kindness towards others.

As we go about our daily lives, let’s strive to be thankful for God’s many blessings. Let us acknowledge the goodness of God and show appreciation to those who help us. May we be sensitive to God’s presence and cultivate a spirit of gratitude.

In our interactions with others, let us show kindness and compassion, just as Jesus did. May our gratitude be evident in our words, actions, and deeds. We pray to God to help us develop a heart of gratitude, that we may attract more blessings and bring glory to His name.

Give thanks in all Circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

May God bless us with the attitude of gratitude. Amen.
