HOMILY OF 15TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR C

Deut 30:10-14, Colin 1:15-20, Luke 10:25-37

*THEME: Doing What We Know.*

Knowing without doing is useless.

“But the word is very near to you, it is in your mouth, and in your heart, so that you can do it”

God’s love was made concrete and practical in Jesus. He became man to make God’s love known to humanity.

In the gospel, the priest and the levite followed the letter of the law. The Samaritan followed the spirit of the law.

Life first. Any law or system that does not support life in all its form will only promote hate.

Christianity is a rule of the heart.

We must be compassionate and sympathetic.

Love has no barrier, it has no boundary.

May we always show love to all so that we may truly represent the law of Christ. Amen.
