CHRISTIANS AS CARRIERS OF JOY

147

HOMILY OF MONDAY OF THE FOURTH WEEK OF ADVENT YEAR (B)

R1:- 1 Songs of Solomon 2:8-14
PS:- 33:2-3.11-12.20-21
Accl:- O Emmanuel, our King and law giver! Come and save us, O Lord our God
Gospel:- Luke 1:39-4

Those who cooperate with God’s plan ; who say yes to his divine invitation are carriers of heavenly joy.

If we allow Jesus to come into our life, our presence will always invoke joy in those we meet. The moment Elizabeth heard the greetings of Mary, she was filled with the Holy Spirit and the child in her womb leapt for joy.

Most blessed are you among women , and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy.”. Luke 1:42-44.

If we follow the example of Mary by saying yes to God, if we surrender our will to God to direct us as he wills, we will be channels of his eternal joy.

May the Blessed Mother intercede for us. May we, by our lives bring joy to wherever we may be. Amen.
