A Rope of Prayer
The Holy Rosary is a rope of prayer which helps us to reflect deeply on the life of Jesus through whom we gain power over Satan and his cohorts. This is a special gift which the mother of the Lord gave to the church.
Truth frees. Though realising the power and authority we have over Satan and his demons come is enough cause for celebration, having a place in the book of life is of more eternal benefits. Jesus told the disciples,
“Yes, I have given you power to tread underfoot serpents and scorpions and the whole strength of the enemy; nothing shall ever hurt you. Yet do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you; rejoice rather that your names are written in heaven.”
How we gain strength through the Rosary
Experience has shown that the Rosary as a rope of prayer is a great weapon in the fight against the work of Satan. It is a prayerful meditation on the life of Jesus Christ, which banishes Satan and his agents. We cannot be filled with the thought of Christ and be a victim to Satan.
The office of Mary as the Lady of the Rosary makes her a terror to demons.
May the Blessed Mary intercede for us. As we pray our Rosary daily, may the works of Satan around us and in our lives be subdued. Amen.
Our Lady of the Rosary
Our Lady of the Rosary is a revered title of the Virgin Mary. It commemorates the intercession of Mary in the Battle of Lepanto in 1571 when Christian forces defeated the Ottoman Empire. The rosary, a beloved prayer method, is associated with this devotion, reflecting on the life of Jesus through its beads. This Marian title symbolizes faith, prayer, and protection.
