Responding to God’s call requires deep faith, trust, and obedience. It is often a challenging journey, marked by moments of dryness and temptation.

Mary, the Queen of the Blessed Virgin, epitomizes this response due to her unwavering submission to God’s will. From her birth, Mary has consistently sought to fulfill God’s wishes. Today, we honor her heroic faithfulness and obedience.

In today’s Gospel, the Angel Gabriel delivers a message of good news, beginning with the special greeting, “Hail Mary, full of grace.” This acknowledgment highlights Mary as a vessel of divine grace.

Just as the Angel recognized Mary’s grace, each of us is endowed with God’s grace. Despite this, we often overlook these blessings and rely on our own limited strength.

In heaven, Mary’s Queenship is a reward from God, enabling her to bestow graces upon God’s kingdom. As she bore Jesus, the King of the universe, Mary shares in His salvific work and Queenship.

The Church honors Mary’s Queenship with prayers like “Hail Holy Queen” and “Regina Caeli.” Reflecting on your own contributions to God’s work, how do you respond to His will? Do you choose your path over God’s?

Mary’s humble acceptance, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word” (Luke 1:26-38), is a profound act of faith and obedience. We should aspire to this attitude, saying, “I am the handmaid of the Lord; let only God’s will be done in me.” Through humility and patience, we are promised the heavenly crown of salvation.

Let us always seek Mary’s intercession with faith, trusting she will bring us peace and light. Peace be with you.
